This is a teaser to a series I shot on West Coast logging here in British Columbia Canada I was privileged enough to go up with a logging crew in midcoast British Columbia. I was closer to Prince Rupert than I was to Powell River in one of the most remote places I have been. This series showcases the hard-working people in the logging industry and their stories on the job. Sustainability is their goal with sustainability their livelihoods have a secure future. The best way I explained it was their process of tree removal was large-scale farming with bigger tractors and in the mountains.
This was project that I was lucky to get the opportunity to produce a construction time-lapse with all the elements in the right place to achieve the results I did. I have to get a big shout-out o CamDo without their product couldn't do this. They were also a big part of my getting the job. I worked on this project for the last 9 months and shot 1.2 million images and took a month of editing to build the individual videos and another to edit this video. This was blood sweat and lots of lost sleep, this is my vision coming to life. Over 3 years of pitching and waiting for technology to get to a point this was possible. Thanks to my Wife, CamDo, Jayke, and Rob from Alterna films as well as Patrick from Exhibau for putting up with me. Enjoy
